About

Django Girls is a non-profit organization based in Heywood that runs free, one-day programming workshops for women.

Each workshop guides 30-60 participants through building their first web application using HTML, CSS, Python and Django, with support from volunteer organizers across the community.

The organization provides open-sourced resources and an Organizer Manual to enable volunteers to set up workshops in their own cities. Since 2014, the Django Girls community has organized over 1,200 events across more than 600 cities in 111 countries, reaching over 26,000 women participants through the work of 2,600+ volunteers worldwide.
